I understand the Internet pretty well, considering we grew up together. I taught myself how to build websites alone as a 10 year-old in 1999, and now I've taught HTML+CSS to 200+ students. Back then, none of the adults in my life had any perspective understood what I was doing. To them it was all "mumbo jumbo," and I had no idea how grateful I would be for those skills in the future.
